About Elisa
Based in New York City, Elisa is an actor studying at the renowned Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where she’s refining her craft in Shakespeare, Voice & Speech, Movement, Scene Study, Stage Combat, and more as part of the Professional Conservatory.
Elisa’s love for performing began at an early age—making her stage debut as Baby Jesus at just six months old. A starring role she’s yet to top. Emphasis on yet. 😉
Elisa’s roots are in comedy, and she has always loved working on comedic plays and musicals. Recently, she has found a deep passion for productions that bring untold history to life or tell stories from perspectives audiences might not have previously considered. She has been especially inspired by Suffs the Musical and the Oscar-nominated short film A Lien. She hopes to work on projects that illuminate forgotten narratives and challenge viewers to see the world through new eyes.
During the pandemic, Elisa expanded her creative horizons by studying comedy writing with The Second City. This multifaceted skill set fuels her storytelling, and she is currently developing a four-episode sitcom-style web series.
Originally from Kansas City, MO, Elisa is a co-founder of Locally Grown Improv Company, an award-winning improv team based in Johnson County, KS. Though she now calls the Big Apple home, she’s proud of the company’s continued success in the Kansas City Metro area.
She holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a Minor in Theatre from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
When she’s not acting, writing, or improvising, you can find Elisa sharing her signature whimsical content on TikTok @musicaltheatrebackwards.
